Xbox One owners: check which port you are using
The Xbox One, One S and One X have two HDMI ports on the back: HDMI out, which goes to your TV, and HDMI in, which is meant for a TV box. A cable in the HDMI in port gives no picture at all, so check the labels before anything else. The Xbox Series X and Series S have a single HDMI out port.

How we replace an Xbox HDMI port
An Xbox HDMI port is soldered to the motherboard, so we dismantle the console fully, desolder the damaged port, prepare the board and fit a new one, then check the picture on a TV before handing it back.
Occasionally the chip that drives the HDMI signal is damaged too, usually after a power surge. If we find that, we'll explain what it means before doing anything else.
