Make an older laptop feel new again
If your laptop still has a traditional hard drive, swapping it for a solid-state drive (SSD) is usually the single biggest speed boost you can buy. Start-up times drop from minutes to seconds, and programs open noticeably faster.
Adding memory helps too, where your laptop allows it. Many thin laptops, and every MacBook with Apple silicon, have their memory soldered to the board, so we'll check what's possible before recommending anything.

How much does laptop repair cost in Manchester?
It depends on the laptop and the repair. A screen for a budget Windows laptop costs far less than one for a MacBook Pro, for example. Send us the make, model and fault for a free, fixed quote before any work starts.
Is it worth repairing an old laptop?
Often, yes. A new battery, an SSD upgrade or a screen replacement can give a laptop years more use for a fraction of the price of a new one. If yours isn't worth fixing, we'll say so.
Can you get my files off a broken laptop?
Often, as long as the storage drive itself hasn't failed. Tell us what you need saving before we start, and we'll make recovering it part of the plan.
Do you repair MacBooks?
Yes. We repair MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, including screens, batteries, keyboards and charging faults. Newer MacBooks build more parts into the logic board, so we'll explain what's possible for yours.
How long does a laptop repair take?
Many repairs, such as batteries and SSD upgrades, can be done the same day. Screens and keyboards sometimes need ordering for your exact model, and we'll give you a timescale when we quote.
